- 1/4 onion
- 1/2 carrot
- 1/2 tbsp mustard seeds
- Spring onion
- Beef tongue
- Remove beef tongue from fridge 30 mins before cooking to bring up to room temperature.
- Dice a quarter of an onion and half a carrot. Saute on medium heat together with 0.5 tbsp mustard seeds until softened (~5 min). Set aside.
- Pan-fry beef tongue on medium heat, working in batches if necessary. Add salt and pepper to taste. Do not overcrowd the pan, remove beef tongue from heat immediately when it’s cooked through.
- Serve beef tongue together with onion and carrot, and garnish with spring onion.
