Trendy Smoked Salmon and Tuna Sushi Pizza Roll

Ingredients
    1. 2 cups cooked sushi rice
    2. 2 cups water
    3. 3 tbsp sushi vinegar or 2 tbsp rice vinegar and 1 tbsp of sugar
    4. Smoked salmon
    5. Tuna strips
    6. Crab sticks/crab meat
    7. 1-2 sliced cucumber
    8. 8 sheets of Nori seaweed
    9. 2-3 diced avocado
    10.  2 tbsp Sesame seeds
    11. Optional: Mayonnaise 
 
Steps
 
 Making the sticky sushi rice
 
  1. Place your cooked sushi rice in a bowl. Leave it to cool down. 
  2. While it’s still warm, add the sushi vinegar and mix gently.

Making the sushi rolls 

  1. Cut off ⅓ of the nori sheet. Place the remainder towards the bottom of the bamboo mat. 
  2. Spread evenly ¾ cup of cooked rice on top of the sheet. 
  3. Dip your fingers in vinegar-water solution to spread the rice in a thin layer without the rice sticking to your fingers.
  4. Place the crab meat and avocado slices on top. Be careful not to add too much filling so you can still seal the roll properly.
  5. Lift up the edge of the bamboo mat over the filling. 
  6. Roll the bamboo mat away from you while pressing firmly on the rice and filling.  

Making the pizza crust

  1. Cut a piece of nori into a triangular shape.
  2. Add the rest of the sushi rice on top and spread evenly over the sheet.
  3. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. You can also spread mayonnaise on the top if you want.

Assembly

  1. Place one sushi roll at the end of the makeshift pizza crust. Trim the edges to avoid any overlap.
  2. Add the rest of your toppings: salmon, tuna, cucumber, and avocado on top. Serve and enjoy!
